four bucks

Alternately Titled: Through Toddler Goggles

What can four bucks buy you these days?

Well, if you're shopping garage sales then four bucks can buy you a brand new still-in-the-package Little Tikes toddler digital camera!

Camille had a blast snapping photos outisde this morning...

It's definitely no Nikon, but for four bucks I'd say it's a pretty nice little camera. With a little practice I'm sure she will be able to take more photos of people than of the ground.

So without further ado I bring you...through toddler goggles!

I just love that last one! We promised her more camera time after her nap. And wouldn't you know, she actually went to sleep right away?!

Talk about incentive to sleep. I think we'll be keeping this little gadget around.

You know, until she loses interest.

Which will probably be within the week.

But still. For four bucks? It totally made her day!

all smiles

This week has been a whirlwind, what with me starting back to work on Tuesday. Thankfully, I'm lucky enough to have a job my kids can accompany me to. And not only that, but they have a chance to see their new friend Josiah every day. It's such a blessing that I am going to be able to see my children develop a relationship with my God-son.

And I'm pretty excited get to know the kid myself!

But, it has made for a pretty crazy (read: exhausting) week for me. No time to take photos. No time to blog.

I will, however, leave you with this photo I took last week of my sweet smily boy!

We get more and more smiles every day. I love it!

unconventional

A daddy who wears his son.

A son who wears pink hats.

And pink diapers.

My boys know no gender boundaries.

Some might consider this unconventional.

I think it's cute.

cooler

When the weather gets hotter...

we get

out the

cooler!

Our water recepticle of choice so far this summer is our blue cooler. Bigger than a bucket (thus, takes quite a bit longer for her to empty), yet not so big that she thinks to climb in.

Yesterday we were out in the front yard for several hours and filled the cooler twice. Camille loves scooping and pouring water with her various cups, buckets and watering cans.

Yes, it's going to be a very wet summer at our house!

last day of school

Remember what Camille looked like on her first day of school?

Well, she's grown quite a bit in eight months.

The backpack may have stayed the same, but its contents are different. No longer is it filled with diapers, pacifiers and blankies. Now it just has an extra change of clothes and her lunch!

Today was her last day of "school" at the mom's day out program she and her best friend Isabel have attended since September.

Both girls (along with a few other friends from their class) are excited to be a part of a summer program their teacher, Miss Debbie, will be running out of her home.

It's been a really fun year, and I know Camille is really looking forward to going to school again next year!

our special visitor

We were blessed to have Auntie Megan join us in Minnesota for Levi's baptism over the weekend. Today we were able to enjoy the beautiful weather outside and snap a few photos of Megan with the kids. And can you believe it, we actually got a really great one! Our opportunities to take a photo of Camille smiling for the camera these days are few and far between. But she does love her auntie!

Thanks, Megan, for spending time with us and loving us so much! We're sad that you're leaving tomorrow, but so very blessed to have had you here while we did. We're looking forward to regular Skype dates again, and are excited that you'll be able to see Levi (and Camille) grow these next few months. Love you!
