splish splash!

We spent Saturday afternoon in the Heart of the City plaza area in Burnsville on Nicollet. They were having an international music festival going on, with various fair-like vendors and some great music. Not only this, but they also have a water area to play in. It's hard to describe, but basically it's a man-made river with a couple of pools and waterfalls. And the best part? It was created to be a play area for kids. And let me tell you, Camille loved it! The other great part? It's only ankle deep, so I didn't have to worry about her falling in or anything. Yes, I still had to keep my eye on her, but she was be free to walk around and splash as she pleased.

Yes, that's my child kneeling near the waterfall trying to drink the water. I guess she was thrsty and her sippy cup was too far away (you know, over by me on the blanket). And yes, my Mom did go and ask her to stop drinking the water.

After spending nearly an hour in the water, Camille enjoyed a big bowl of giant blueberries. What a way to finish playtime!
We will definitely be returning to this park this summer to get in some more water time. I'm looking forward to bringing the girls there so they can splash and play together!

You can count on Kate and Annika to join in on the fun! Maybe if it's really hot this week we can head over together. Thanks for the suggestion!!!

WOW, that looks SO fun! The girls will really enjoy going there together! Did you have non-slip shoes on Camille? I need to get some for Isabel I think (it would have really helped when we took her to the Valleyfair waterpark)...so I will be on the lookout for those this week. If you need some for Camille, let me know and I can pick some up for her too.
