Florida: Part III

Sorry I took the night off last night. I was much too tired and cold to do a posting. It was COLD here yesterday, with a high of 61. I know, I know, I should be used to it. But when it's 60 degrees and you're spending the entire day outside it can get quite chilly. But now I am sufficiently thawed, as today it got up to 68 I think. And we are much looking forward to the predicted high of 75 tomorrow!

Anyway, yesterday we slept in a bit (well, my parents did) and went to Epcot after Camille's morning nap. We had a late lunch at the Biergarden in Germany and then saw the Candlelight Processional at the American Pavilion. The CP is a production put on every year throughout December. There are three shows each night, and it is a mass choir, orchestra, and Christmas story narration, narrated by a "celebrity" guest speaker. Our celeb speaker last night was Neil Patrick Harris. Doogie Howser! Aaron was VERY excited about that, and even though we felt like human popsicles we enjoyed the show a lot. This first picture is of us waiting for it to start...

This is the Epcot "golf ball" as we were leaving to go back to the resort. I was cold and didn't want to take the picture but Aaron made me :)

Today we got up early again and got to MGM (now named Disney's Holywood Studios) just as it was opening. About 90% of the people there went immediately to a new ride, Toy Story Mania. We now know why - it was SO MUCH FUN! We ended up riding it twice. It's a 3-D interactive ride that involves a bunch of scenes of different midway-style games. You have to shoot suction cups, toss rings, etc. at targets to score points. Aaron beat us all, but I still claim I'm the best on the Buzz Lightyear Spaceranger Spin ride at Magic Kingdom.

This is a picture of us while we were in line for TSM. Mr. Potato Head told jokes and sang songs to the people waiting in line.

This afternoon we just found a quiet corner and put a blanket down for Camille to crawl around on. Of course, she only sat on the blanket for about 60 seconds. It was much more fun for her to stand up holding on to the stroller so she could play with the straps!

Aaron wanted a picture of him wearing the lime green mickey ears because they match his green Crocs so well. Unfortunately, the hat was MUCH too small, as it was in the tween section of the gift shop :( Maybe we can find him a big boy hat somewhere else!

Well, that's it for now. I'm not sure what's on the agenda for tomorrow. Maybe more Epcot, maybe more Magic Kingdom. You'll just have to check back to find out!
