There's just something about getting to choose what color diaper Levi is going to wear next that makes me smile.
Have you ever had a newborn and found yourself covered in baby poop nearly every time they fill their diaper? When Camille was tiny I was constaly rinsing out and soaking poo stained clothes (both mine and hers) because her disposable diapers would leak so often.
I thought for sure cloth diapers would leak as well, if not more. In fact, when Levi was just a couple weeks old I thought I'd save myself some hassle when we were leaving the house and I put a 'sposie on him.
Only to find us both covered in poop. Blah!
Since they we've only used cloth. I actually don't remember the last time he wore a 'sposie. Not a single poo leak. Ahhhh.
Bright colors.
No poo leaks.
Saving money.
Helping the environment.
No chemicles on Levi's bottom.
I'm in diaper heaven!

Which diapers do you use? I've been on the fence for so long, ready to plunge into cloth diaper world, but I have been to intimidated.
I finally decided it's time to do it. My daughter is almost two. She has special needs and won't be able to use the toilet anytime soon, so I'll be using diapers for a long time to come.
She's a good first subject to practice on because part of her condition is digestive issues so she is constipated. Which means that her dirty diapers aren't "messy" and only come once a week or so.
(Probably more than you needed to know, but when talking about diapers... ;) )
So, I need an easy one-piece diaper to start with. Any help for this intimidated Mama will be appreciated!
We use mostly pocket diapers, which means you take the insert out to wash and then put it back in before you put it on baby. They're VERY easy to use. Popular brands are BumGenius and FuzziBunz. There are also all-in-one diapers that have the insert attached. Shoot me an email if you want some more info :)
