Letter of the Week U (overview)

I guessed that U was going to be a little difficult, and boy was I right!

There really just aren't that many U words that use the short vowel sound (which is what we are teaching Camille first). Let's just say we talked a lot about uncles and umbrellas this week!

I was, however, able to find pictures of an unmade bed, an ugly bug, and a baby under a lampshade.

Creative, I know.

On Thursday night we baked a pineapple upside down cake for Uncle Michael. We went to Aaron's work to have lunch with him on Friday, and brought Michael the cake (he works in the same building as Aaron).

He was very appreciative of the Cake, and he and Camille sampled it together.

When we got home Camille drew a picture to send to Uncle Bryan!

Now we have to remember to mail it to him!

Some books we borrowed from the library are The Ugly Duckling, Ella's Umbrellas, and There's an Alligator Under my Bed. We especially liked Ella's Umbrellas!
